This
intensive two-day programme will focus on current patient management
techniques with a specific emphasis on symptom management and disease
modification. Delegates will be introduced to current strategies
as well as future directions in pharmacological management and the
issues associated with rheumatology clinical trials.
The course begins with an overview of the structural anatomy of
joints both in their normal state and when undergoing the inflammatory
process. The aetiology and epidemiology of the spectrum of joint
diseases will be explored along with their clinical features and
presentation.
The programme will encourage delegate interaction and participation
especially during the patient presentations, case studies and discussion
sessions and highlight the personal impact of these diseases on
the patient.
