This
introductory course provides an overview of the causes, mechanisms
and management of epilepsy from a clinical management and a drug
development perspective – in both adults and children.
This course covers clinical neurology, pharmacology,
neurophysiology, psychology and paediatric neurology. The breadth
of expertise drawn upon during the programme reflects the diverse
problems faced by the patient with epilepsy and the particular difficulties
in the assessment of drug treatment.
Healthcare's teaching team – all specialist
physicians in this therapy area and experienced speakers –
will encourage questions and discussion throughout the programme
to allow delegates the opportunity to have their queries answered
and ensure their requirements are met.
This course provides an excellent grounding for
people new to this area of medicine. Those already working in this
field will enhance their knowledge and benefit from the clinical
perspective provided.
