This
course will provide an overview of Alzheimer's disease from both
a clinical management and a drug development perspective.
Healthcare's teaching team – all specialist physicians in
this therapy area – will offer a broad introduction to Alzheimer's
and allow delegates to develop a general understanding of the disease
and its neurobiology.
Clinical presentation and disease staging will be discussed and
followed by a review of pharmacological and other treatment options.
Delegates will benefit from hearing a valuable, 'real life' perspective
from a patient and carer – learning about the impact and issues
of living with Alzheimer's disease. The course will conclude with
a discussion on clinical trial design issues and a review of ongoing
research.
This course provides an excellent grounding for people new to this
area of medicine. Those already working in this field will enhance
their knowledge and benefit from the clinical perspective provided.
