Advisory
board meeting
In order to more fully understand how
the scientific community might view the results of its ongoing trial,
a pharmaceutical company wished to host an advisory board meeting
at a major cardiology congress, and required help to co-ordinate
and ensure it’s smooth running. |

The programme of work
Healthcare Education Services
established regular project meetings with the client and the
extended team, to ensure the project ran smoothly. Healthcare
Education Services also worked with the client to provide
a detailed facilitator’s guide, ensuring that the whole
team understood the aims and objectives of the advisory board.
In addition key points for board discussion were detailed.
In addition, Healthcare Education Services
was responsible for:
utilising it's extensive database of KOLs for the purpose of recruiting to the advisory board
briefing presenters and providing them with logistical support
issuing a pre-event questionnaire and briefing documentation to the KOLs
providing an in-house member of staff to moderate the advisory board
writing and editing a post-event report for circulation to the whole team.

The deliverables to the client |
|
As well as successfully managing the advisory
board, Healthcare Education Services provided the client with
a facilitator’s guide, which will also form the basis
of subsequent advisory board meetings. |

The project achievements |

The advisory board formed the ideal opportunity
to discuss the slide kit that will be utilised during
the clinical trial—valu ble input was given and
the slide kit modified, prior to dissemination at the
associated satellite symposium.

The advisory board was deemed a success
and Healthcare Education Services has been invited to
facilitate the next meeting at which the trial results
will be revealed.
